You do not need a partner
Many people come to their first class alone. Beginner classes are usually designed so students rotate, meet people and learn together.
You do not need experience
Everybody starts somewhere. A good beginner class starts with timing, basic steps, simple turns and how to feel comfortable on the dance floor.

What to Expect at Your First Class
Most beginner salsa and bachata classes are relaxed and welcoming. You will usually learn the basic rhythm, simple footwork, partner connection and easy turns. You do not need special clothes. Wear something comfortable and shoes that let you move.
If you are nervous, that is normal. Many first-time students feel the same way before walking into class. The important thing is simply to show up, listen, laugh a little and take the first step.
FloridaSalsa is not a dance school and does not sell classes directly. We help new dancers discover local beginner-friendly options.
